CORONAVIRUS ANNOUNCEMENT

Many regular hall classes and bookings have been cancelled for the foreseeable future. We have decided to cancel April’s film and review other films moving forward in light of the developing situation and official guidance. In the meantime, please look after yourself, your family, friends and neighbours. We will still be here to support the community when the situation improves, and before then if needed.

New Film Schedule

We have a new film schedule for the Community Cinema at the Hall – including a change of film for March. Also please note that this Sunday (23rd) we screen Yesterday (12) after its postponement due to Storm Dennis!

February to July Films Announced

The Village Hall Film Group are very pleased to announce the slate of films to be shown at the Hall from February through to July this year – see the attached poster. Moving forward all films will be shown on the 3rd Sunday of the month – at the usual time: 6.15pm doors open, for a 7.00pm start.

Please note that we no longer require you to book a place in advance; entry will be on a first-come-first-served basis, so be sure to come early (and enjoy a tea/coffee and some cake!)

We look forward to seeing you for our next film, Yesterday (12) – to be screened on Sunday 16th February.

Christmas Film and Christmas Community Event

With the Festive Season soon to be upon us, here is news of two upcoming events at Liverton Village Hall.

Our feel-good Christmas Film at the Hall, on Sunday 8th December, is While You Were Sleeping (PG). A week later, on the afternoon of 15th December, we have our Community Christmas Event at the hall. More details on the posters shown here and on our website: www.livertonvillagehall.co.uk

Regardless of whether you make it along to these events, do have a Very Merry Festive Season and New Year!

Salsa & Cha Cha Classes at the Hall

This afternoon (Sat 9th November) at 3pm there are Salsa and Cha Cha classes at the hall – this is a chance to learn some dance-floor moves, regardless of whether you are planning on coming to see Cuban band Son Yambu at the hall next weekend (though we hope you are!). Come along and warm up on a dreary afternoon! Details of classes and band visit on our website: https://www.livertonvillagehall.co.uk/

November’s Film at Liverton Village Hall

Reservations are now available for the next film screening at Liverton Village Hall: Peter Jackson’s They Shall Not Grow Old (15) will be shown on Remembrance Sunday (10th November) at 7PM.

See the website for details and reservations: https://www.livertonvillagehall.co.uk/calendar/film-they-shall-not-grow-old-15/

BBQ & Skittles Night at the Hall!

The Liverton Village Hall Committee have taken delivery of a ‘pre-loved’ skittle alley that was deemed surplus to requirements (thank you Alan and Kate Hobbs in Ilsington!). We have arranged a ‘BBQ and Skittles’ night on the 17th of August (from 7pm) – please do come along, bringing something to cook on the BBQ (we’ll supply the heat – you can cook your own), and some drink it you would like (alcohol is ok – so long as you are over 18!). Hope to see you there!

Film Night Tomorrow at the Village Hall!

Sunday evening (2nd June) sees The Greatest Showman (PG) screened at Liverton Village Hall Community Cinema – doors open 6.15pm for 7pm screening. What better way to round off the weekend – and for just £3 entry! Reservations still available – see here for details: https://www.livertonvillagehall.co.uk/calendar/cinema-the-greatest-showman-pg/
